Letter, 7 Jan. 1834.

Dudley admonishes Leslie Combs for his unsuccessful campaign against the Democratic party and notes that he was pleased to hear that Combs was defeated as speaker of the house of the Kentucky General Assembly and as a Lexington (Ky.) councilman. He also criticizes his brother's participation in the Democratic Party and wishes that "any Jacksonite" will live "to witness the curses" of their policies.
